This weekend sees the start of the 2019 British Superbike Championships with Tom Tunstall returning to the Superstock 1000 class in partnership with Integro Insurance Brokers for a twelfth successive season!

The 2019 season is keenly anticipated across all classes with the Superstock 1000 series being no exception. Boasting a stronger than ever line-up of riders and teams including multiple race and championship winners, but also strength in depth meaning the qualifying sessions for this weekends opening encounter at Silverstone have to be split across two groups!

Once again mounted on BMW machinery, rider and team owner Tom Tunstall evaluates preparations:

“We are very pleased to be working together with Integro again in 2019 and proud of our long association which is testament to their enthusiasm and understanding of motorsport. We will continue to give our best on and off track to repay their loyalty.”

“It is no secret that last year was difficult personally and I’m very much looking forward to getting back to enjoying racing and translating that into performance in what will be a hard fought series.

“All our testing has been based in the UK and whilst we haven’t had the luxury that Spanish track time can bring, it has been really good to be back on the race bike after a long winter. There are many positives to riding on circuits we’ll race on and in typical UK conditions. We’ve had a few technical gremlins but that is what testing is for, to prepare for the season and iron out any issues.

Now I’m just really keen to get to Silverstone and get going!”

The first round will be held on the Silverstone National circuit with practice on Friday [19th], qualifying and a two part “100-mile” race on Saturday [20th] and another race on the Sunday [21st].
